Emma's eBay Purchases - Part 3

Pixel dress 1
Topshop dress. Size 8. 99p + £2.50 P&P

This dress looked super cute in the picture on the eBay listing. And it is in person, kind of. As you can see, it's a tad on the shapeless side. It does look better with a belt added into the mix:

But it's still not GREAT. It's 100% polyester, which means it's not the comfiest thing to wear. This is the second time I've bought a dress from eBay that I liked in the picture, but then not liked in person because I hate how the fabric feels. Definitely a lesson there! Note to self: Always check what material an item is made from!

Still, it has some redeeming features, like the pockets (I love pockets. Any dress is made 50% better by having pockets, true fact), and the design itself:

    Love the dress! I totally agree with you about pockets on a dress-they make it so much better! The design is cute too-love the pixel flowers :-)

    I think it looks lovely on you, even without the belt! I know what you mean about the dodgy fabric though... I never find such Topshop bargains on Ebay, everything I watch always goes for loads =( xx

    I love it and it sounds like steal! With dresses like that the right belt or ribbon makes all the difference. I have a few that my boyfriend not-so-lovingly calls "potato sack dresses."

    Anyway, I think it looks very cute on you and those pixel flowers are just too much! I love pixel anything and would flip if I could find a dress with pixel flowers! :)

    I think the belt made it perfect! Maybe a slip will cure the feel of the dress on your skin?

    Rachel - A lot of the Topshop things I watch go for loads too! I have to set myself a limit so I don't get tempted into bidding.

    Caroline - The pixels were why I loved it at first. I thought it made it so dorkily cute!

    Ti - It doesn't actually feel that bad against my skin, it's more that it just doesn't move very well, you know? I like the idea of a slip, though, if I knew where to get one!
